40's and newer covers the period of glass produced after the Depression Glass era ending in the 1930's and up through current.  Companies like Anchor Hocking and Indiana Glass are just a few who offered inexpensive glass that caught the eye of the homemaker and have become sought after by today's collectors.  More modern offerings like Tiara Glass have produced updated versions of glass in new colors from old molds thus opening whole new areas for the collector.
