Description
Metlox Fruit Basket double egg cup. Fruit Basket was produced on the Vernon Kiln San Fernando shape. The scalloped rims, fluted detailing, and scroll handles of the shape were adapted from English dinnerware designs. Fruit Basket was produced from 1961 to 1986. The central motif is a basket of fruit and flowers, hand painted with 152 brush strokes, in warm tones of yellow, green and brown. The double egg cup is 4" high and 3 1/4" across top. It is in mint condition.
