  Description

True, The Man's Magazine January 1953 issue.  True, The Man's Magazine, was published by Fawcett Publications from 1937 until 1974. Known as True, A Man's Magazine in the 1930s, it was labeled True, #1 Man's Magazine in the 1960s. Petersen Publishing took over with the January, 1975, issue. It was sold to Magazine Associates in August, 1975.

Magazines were full of high adventure.  The January 1953 issue is 100 pages of ads and articles such as true adventure articles, O'Reilly and the Flying Dutchman and The Cave Tigers of Hong Kong.  Sports articles about, the best pistol shot in the world and one about Jack "Doc" Kearns manager of Jack Dempsey and his new fighter, Joey Maxim the light heavyweight of the world.  This is just some of the great things to be found in this issue of True, The Man's Magazine for January 1953.  Also it has great old advertisements.  The back cover has a Chris-Craft  motor boat kit ad saying you can own a new Chris -Craft for as little as $45 full price!

I think you get the idea!  This magazine is full of nostalgia.

Spine is still tight and pages are clean and not torn.  Cover has some tearing a wear along spine.
