Old pottery teapot from Japan with wicker handle. Earthenware decorated with hand painted red and blue flower with yellow centers. Rim, knob, spout and handles are trimmed in blue. Backside of teapot is stem and leaves of flowers that wrap around to front of pot. Teapot is not cracked or chipped but does have age crazing a few areas of slight darkening. Teapot is 4 1/4" high to tip of knob on lid and is 6 1/2" from tip of spout to back of pot. It holds about 16 ounces. Base appears to read, RPM - Currio, 54 24 SLPC NY, Container, Made in Japan.
