  Description

Small high standard cake salver in US Glass pattern no. 15053, Louisiana also known by collectors as Granby or Sharp Oval and Diamond.  Pattern was originally produced by Bryce Brothers in 1870's and later by U. S. Glass Company circa 1898.  Listed on page 343 and 344 of in "Early American Pattern Glass 1850-1910", published 1990, by Bill Jenks and Jerry Luna.  Book lists this piece as a 7" cake stand even though the actual size is 6 5/16" across and 3" high.  Cake stand is in excellent condition with very bright, clear glass.  Has only just minimal utensil marks seen only under bright light and close observation.
